The 1900 census states her father unknown. She married John Stevens. See "John Warren Stevens" write-up for more information. The 1930 census states that her parents were from Maine. She was Minola Frances Rose from Gay Head. Westport data states that her father was Isaac Rose from Gay Head, a native American. Her family is found in the 1870 census in Gay Head. Father Isaac (1812 - mariner), mother Harriet A.(1821), sister Etta H (1860) and Minola (1853). Later censuses are not clear as to her birthdate, but Potter's Funeral home shows her at age 83 when she died in 1933. She is buried at Westport Point Cemetery.

G.R. 4. - gravestone record, Westport Point Cemetery in Westport Vital Records to 1850. This cemetery is located within the Westport Point Historic District. The Town of Westport maintains the grounds of the cemetery because families have perpetual care. It is believed to have originally been the Gifford family cemetery. The stones have all been cleaned as of June 2023 and stones repaired by the Westport Gravestone Cleaning and Restoration Group.
