Benjamin Higgins worked in New Bedford as a foreman and shipwright. In 1909 he married Mary S. Sherman a decade after the death of her first husband Jireh. Benjamin died two years later of heart disease. There is a masonic emblem on his stone. Research: L. Oliveira
