Other Information "Peleg Wordell was born in Westport, the son of Phineus and Rhoda Wordell. In 1824 he married Susan Pettey and they had six children Jonathan, Rhoda, Philip, Sarah Ann, Charlotte and Mary. Peleg was a farmer in North Westport and died in 1878 at the age of 81. His death certificate lists the cause as old age and noted that at the time of his death he was living at the Westport almshouse. His widow Susan lived with her daughter Charlotte Durfee and died in 1880. Her funeral was at the North Westport Church and she left all of her belongings to her surviving children." Stone cleaned and leveled in 2022. Inscription on the pink granite is very difficult to read.
